“My calligraphy portrays the remakrable deeds of Wang Jingxi, famously known as the "Iron Man" of the Daqing Oilfield. Through this work, I aim to honor the selfless dedication of China's first generation of petrleum workers. Wang Jinxi's story serves as a powerful symbol of hard work and perserveance. My calligraphy seeks to pay tribute not only to his spirit but also to the indomitable will of all those who contributed to the growth and evelopment of DaQING.”

Artist Biography

“My name is Belinda, and I am 12 years old. I have always been passionate about both calligraphy and painting. From a young age, I have found joy in expressing myself through these beautiful forms of art. Calligraphy, in particular, has helped me cultivate patience and focus, while painting allows me to bring my imagination to life on the canvas. I am excited to participate in this competition as it provides me with an opporutnity to showcase my love for traditional Chinese art and to continue refining my skills. I bleive that through these artistic practices, I can not only grow as an artist but also develop as an intellectual.”
